Brown University Anonymous Reporting Hotline

Welcome to Brown University’s
Anonymous Reporting Hotline

Brown uses EthicsPoint, a third-party service provider, to give you a way to report activities that might involve unethical or otherwise inappropriate activity or behavior in violation of Brown University's established policies.

Please Note: Is Your Report for Brown University or Brown University Health?

This reporting system is for concerns related to Brown University activities, policies, and community members.

If your report concerns Brown University Health (a separate hospital system from the University), please use their official channels:

How Your Report Will Be Handled

All submitted reports will receive careful attention from the appropriate Brown University Administrators. Your report will be treated confidentially and discussed only with those who have relevant information and a need to know, or any other person or entity as required by law. Please note that Brown University Administrators will not receive reports in which they are specifically named. Those reported situations will be reviewed and addressed in accordance with university policies and protocols.

Filing Your Report

You can file a report anonymously, or you can identify yourself when filing a report using the phone line or the web. If you choose to file anonymously, please be careful not to provide details that might accidentally reveal your identity.

After you complete your report, you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Make sure to keep your report key and password in a safe place. We expect that reports submitted through the system will be made in a good faith effort to address legitimate issues needing correction or to otherwise provide reliable information.
